Why this course?

An Authentic Journey into Chen-Style Taijiquan
This course was created to make a deep and structured practice accessible to those who cannot regularly attend a school, as well as to those who wish to complement their in-person training with an online programme.
The course guides participants progressively through the study of Taijiquan, starting with its fundamental principles and moving towards internal work, traditional postures and Chen-style forms.
Lessons are conducted as they would be in person. At the end of each session, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, request clarification and share observations with the Master and the other students.

By the end of the programme, you will have:

  • A clear understanding of the principles of internal work.
  • Greater postural and breathing awareness.
  • A more stable, flexible and grounded body.
  • Practical tools to continue training independently.
  • A progressive understanding of traditional Chen-style forms.
  • An ITKA certificate of attendance.

What you will learn

Throughout the nine-month programme, you will progressively explore the principles at the heart of the ITKA Method.
Each lesson combines theory and practice, providing clear guidance to help you understand movement, recognise unnecessary tension and develop a more stable, coordinated and conscious body structure.

You will learn to:

  • Develop internal strength through deep muscular engagement and correct musculoskeletal alignment.
  • Integrate posture, breathing and movement.
  • Improve stability, flexibility, coordination and rootedness.
  • Release unnecessary tension and make movement more fluid and effective.
  • Understand the principles of Nei Gong and apply them to Taijiquan practice.
  • Study the traditional postures and forms of Chen-style Taijiquan.
  • Explore the energetic and martial dimensions of the practice.
